Note for use with FT-857(D) or FT-897(D): If you plan to use VHF or UHF, these two radios may transmit a small amount of VHF/UHF RF energy out of the HF connector and will fool the tuner into tuning. Not all radios do this. This anomoly with the radio does not hurt the radio or the tuner. Simply turn off DC power to the tuner or place the tuner into Semi mode if the issue becomes too annoying.
